Video Card for a Gaming PC
The video card is the major limiting factor in whether you’ll be able to play your games at the maximum or minimum detail settings. Although you don’t need the latest card to plays today’s games, you’ll want to buy something that will play tomorrow’s games.
On the high end you’ll want to take advantage of the PCI Express bus and buy a card for that. The Pine Tech XFX GeForce 6800GT (B0006U6GF2) will definitely fit the bill. It features 256 MB DDR3, SLI support, CineFX 3.0, 64-bit texture filtering and much more. On the low end we’ll stick with the Pine Tech GeForce 6600 (B0006I5FXI) card. This is a similar card to the high end recommendation but is compatible with the AGP bus found on older generation motherboards.
Both of these cards will definitely last you for a while. They are versatile too in that you can use multiple monitors or output to your TV.
