Processor Cooler for a Budget PC

As processors get faster they also produce more heat. Today’s CPUs can get as hot as 140o F and still be considered running “cool”. To dissipate all that heat we need to cool the processor by using a heat-sink/fan combo. A heat-sink will transfer the heat away from the CPU and the fan will blow the heat out of the case, thus keeping your CPU nice and cool.

For a basic computer we do not need to buy a special CPU cooler. If you buy a boxed retail processor, it will come with a standard cooler and that’ll do just fine.
