Monitor for a HTPC
Assuming that you are going to hook the computer up to your TV, you do not necessarily need a monitor beyond installing and configuring your system. If you feel inclined to pick up a monitor look into getting a 15” LCD or 17” CRT. In my experience Samsung branded monitors have never failed me. They produce vibrant and accurate colors and are cheaper than similar products from Sony and NEC. Samsung SyncMaster 153T (B0000E659J) is a 15” LCD and the Samsung SyncMaster C793DF (B0002739HM) is a 17” CRT.
