Case for a Gaming PC

For most gamers the case may be the last thing on their minds, but it shouldn’t be. Housing all your expensive hardware, you’ll want a case that is roomy enough to get good airflow and also flexible enough to allow future upgrades. You can get by with a mid-tower size, though full-tower would give you the most leeway. Although most cases come with a power supply, you should aim to upgrade or buy at least a 400W power supply unit. Your system may become unstable without adequate wattage to power your components.

There are a ton of case manufacturers out there, but we recommend one of the big names (Antec, Cooler Master, Lian Li) since this will give you a better build quality. Having a better built case will allow easier access to the internals of the system and also reduce dangers to your hands from sharp edges. If you’re looking for style along with functionality consider cases from Cooler Master. They offer a wide variety of aluminum cases that not only look nice but are also much lighter than their steel brethren. If you’re looking for a functional case, look at cases from Antec. They come with solid power supplies and a lot of room to grow.
